Yesterday I replaced the PCV valve and hose on my Mondeo mk3 Duratec 1.8 petrol. Unfortunately it did not solve the symtoms I have on my car. What is happening? When I start the car the idle speed is around 1.800 instead of 800 and when I slightly push the accelaration pedal and remove my feet quickly the speed increases to 4.000 and higher and the engine runs out of control. I have to turn off the engine to prevend damage. When I disconnect the idle air control valve the idle speed is and stays on 800 (airco off).
So with help of Youtube I did the following;
- removed the swirl flaps (last year)
- replaced the idle air control valve
- replaced the T-Map sensor
- replaced the PCV valve and hose
- cleaned the throttle body
- inspected the throttle position sensor
- checked for vacuum leaks
None of this helped. It seems to me that the Engine Control Unit instruct the ACV to open wrongly. Is my ECU broken? When I check the self diagnose it shows under dtc dt5670. I have no clue, does anyone have ideas perhaps?
